About Us:
Hello and welcome to County Presence. My name is Susan Grant,
I'm a primitive folk artist living in the high desert of Oregon.
I pieced my first doll quilt when I was 6 years old and have been sewing ever since.
I have been creating one of a kind primitive dolls and country hand-dids since the 1980's.
I have always loved antiques, primitives and folk art, My husband says we are decorated in early American poverty, isn't that great!! I like to use my own designs, with vintage fabrics and notions mixed with new.
Occasionally I find a truly great pattern that I must try.
My daughter Amanda does the note cards and some of the hand-dids.
She and her husband have 3 little children at home and Amanda also works part time.
So you know she needed another project.
Our family continues to grow with our son and his wife having twins, a boy and a girl the first part of March 2009!
Another couple with a project.
My husband and I have a small ranch, with all the related chores.
I have a garden and flower beds so I stay fairly busy.
I love to be outside!
I have been very blessed with the support of my family and friends.
I hope you wil find Country Presence a place to enjoy!
